Plasmid Transformation

These small white colonies surrounding the blue colonies are called "satallite colonies". They named as such as they surround the main colonies. They are formed as the main colonies have consumed all the antibiotics. Thus, the satallite colonies that are the same bacteria which tend to not contain the transformed plasmids form as there is no more antibiotic to deter the formation of satallite colonies :)
